Sri Deli Park as a Tourist Attraction in Medan City.
Medan city is a metropolitan city whose growth is very rapid and is the second largest city in Indonesia. The city of Medan is also a city that has interesting tourist attractions. As the movement of the people of Medan City increases, the enlightenment on the importance of tourism as one source of the country's biodiversity decreases. This can also be seen from the old buildings that are not maintained. Old historical buildings that are full of importance on history are very much in the city of Medan. It is very important to maintain, care for & preserve the heritage so that it can be used as an interesting tourist attractionwhich must be visited in the city of Medan. Taman Sri Deli is an asset of tourism in medan city when developed in accordance with cultural heritage law No.11 of 2010 by not inhibiting the beauty of the park and not reducing the historical value contained in Sri Deli Park. This park is a symbol of the glory of Malay Deli in ancient times, therefore this park must be maintained so that the next generation is still able to enjoy the Sri Deli Garden which is stunning when viewed according to its history.
Alhamdulillah, praise & thank god the author pronounce the presence of Allah SWT for His grace & hidayah the author can complete this paper on time. Salawat along with greetings, the author said to the Prophet Muhammad SAW because he was the one who brought the civilization of the people as better.
It is an obligation for every student of the Tourism Study Program, Literature Faculty, University of North Sumatra to compile and complete a paper of work. This paper is to complete the requirements for achieving a degree in Tourism Business Expertise, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of North Sumatra. The title of this paper is: "Taman Sri Deli as a Tourist Attraction in the City of Medan".

Taman Sri Deli is an asset of tourism in the city of Medan if it is developed in accordance with cultural heritage law No.11 of 2010 by not damaging the aesthetics of the park and not reducing the historical value contained in Sri Deli Park. This park is a symbol of the glory of Malay Deli in ancient times, therefore this park must be maintained so that the next generation is permanently able to enjoy the Sri Deli Garden which is stunning when viewed based on its history.
1.1 Reasons for Choosing a Title
Tourism as one of the government's mainstay sectors in receiving the country's foreign exchange, should receive better attentionto be grown in order to obtain the desired target. Indonesia has enormous tourism potential. All activities & businesses that are coordinated to attract tourists in the form of rides and infrastructure, goods, services & facilities that are good are expected to serve the needs of tourists.
Tourism development almost touches all aspects of community life, so in an effort to develop tourism, it requires the support and active participation of residents both from other related businesses and from among the community.
North Sumatra Province with the mother of the city of Medan, is one object > tourist attraction in Indonesia. The city of Medan actually has a national tourism potential in attracting tourists ' interest & visits both domestically and abroad. Its beautiful enchanting nature, art, unique and plural culture, and its suave people are the main attractions for tourists who visit this area.
